"Dust detection systems" as "Equipment designed to give warning of a potentially explosive concentration of dust". Explosion could occur if an ignition source is introduced to a mixture of the following combustible dusts with air, with these dusts existing in certain size and certain concentration in air:-

- Flour dust, saw dust, coal dust
- Aluminum dust

Note: The above list is not exhaustive. Refer to NFPA codes for further reference. FSD will consider the requirement of dust detection system on project basis.
